The short version

Everything you type stays in the app on your iPhone. Nobody, including the developer, can see it. There is no account system and no advertising. The app includes one third-party service, RevenueCat, which records purchases and counts customers under a random anonymous ID. It never receives your wedding plans, your name or your email.

What the app collects

Nothing you enter. There is no sign-up, no sign-in, no email capture and no profile, and the app never asks who you are. It makes two kinds of connection. One is through Apple's StoreKit to the App Store, to show the price of Lifetime Premium, to buy or restore it, and to check whether you first downloaded version 1.0. The other is to RevenueCat, described below, for purchase and customer analytics. Neither connection carries anything you type into the app.

RevenueCat

The app includes the software development kit of RevenueCat, Inc., a United States company that provides in-app purchase infrastructure and analytics. We use it to see how many people use the app, how many buy Lifetime Premium, and whether purchases, restores and refunds were recorded correctly. It does not decide whether you have Lifetime Premium. The App Store does, as described below.

When the app opens, RevenueCat gives this installation a random anonymous ID. The ID is generated on your iPhone and is not based on your name, email, phone number or Apple Account. With that ID, RevenueCat receives:

  • If you buy or restore Lifetime Premium, the App Store's signed record of that purchase: the product, price and currency, dates, Apple's transaction identifiers, and any later refund
  • Technical details sent with each connection: the app's version and build, the iOS version, the iPhone model, your preferred languages, your App Store country or region, and Apple's identifier for vendor. That last one is an ID Apple gives each developer's apps on a device. It is not the advertising identifier.
  • Your App Tracking Transparency status. The app never asks to track you, so it can never show tracking as allowed
  • Your IP address, which any internet connection reveals to the server it reaches

RevenueCat does not receive your wedding date, vendors, amounts, budget, checklist, guests, notes or reminders. It also does not receive your name, email, phone number, Apple Account, payment details or advertising identifier. The app sets no custom customer attributes. We do not use this data for advertising or share it for tracking, and RevenueCat processes it for us under its own privacy policy.

The privacy manifest shipped inside the app declares no tracking, and RevenueCat's own manifest declares purchase history that is not linked to you and not used for tracking.

What stays on your iPhone

Everything you enter is written to a database inside the app on your device:

  • Your wedding date and the names you give your wedding
  • Vendors, including category, deposit paid, balance owed, due dates and any notes
  • Checklist tasks, including ones you add yourself
  • Guests and their RSVP status
  • Your reminder preferences

None of it is uploaded, backed up to a server, synced through iCloud, or shared with anyone. iCloud sync is switched off in the app's data layer, and the app has no iCloud entitlement, so it could not sync even if it tried.

Device backups

One copy of your data can leave the phone, and it is worth being clear about it. If you back your iPhone up to iCloud or to a computer, that backup includes app data, so it includes yours. Those backups belong to you and to Apple under Apple's privacy policy. The developer of this app has no access to them and receives nothing from them.

Notifications

If you set a reminder for a vendor balance, the app asks iOS for permission to send notifications and then schedules them locally on your device. The reminder text, including the vendor name, is created and delivered entirely on your iPhone. There is no push server, no remote notification and no push token. Declining the permission does not restrict anything else in the app.

Purchases and App Store data

From version 1.1 the app offers one optional one-time in-app purchase, Lifetime Premium. It is sold and processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. The app asks the App Store only for the product's price, whether your Apple Account owns it, and which version of the app you first downloaded, so that people who had version 1.0 keep the views that were free then. It keeps a few yes-or-no flags on your iPhone so it opens correctly before the App Store answers. It never sees your name, email, Apple Account or payment details. The record of the purchase itself is sent to RevenueCat, as described above, so the developer can see that a purchase happened without learning who made it. Apple's handling of the purchase is covered by Apple's privacy policy.

Apple provides the developer with download counts and aggregate usage statistics through App Store Connect. These come from Apple's own measurement, not from anything the app sends. They are aggregated and do not identify you.

Diagnostic logging

The app writes a small number of events to your iPhone's own system log using Apple's logging framework. These record counts and flags, such as that a vendor was added or that a reminder was scheduled. They never contain a vendor name, a guest name or an amount. They stay on your device, go to no server, and are not tied to any identifier. There is no crash reporting SDK.

What the app does not do

  • No accounts, sign-in or password
  • No usage analytics: RevenueCat, described above, receives purchase records and learns when the app is opened, but never which screens you use, what you tap or anything you enter
  • No attribution, advertising or crash-reporting SDK. RevenueCat is the only third-party library in the app.
  • No advertising and no advertising identifier
  • No tracking across apps or websites, and no App Tracking Transparency prompt
  • No bank connection, card link or transaction import
  • No vendor marketplace, referral fee or commission
  • No access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, location or health data
  • No selling or renting of personal data, and no sharing of it for advertising

Deleting your data

You control it completely, because you hold the only copy:

  • Delete All Data in the app's Settings tab removes every vendor, task and guest, cancels scheduled reminders, and returns the app to its first-run state.
  • Deleting the app from your iPhone removes the app's database with it.
  • To remove copies held in your own backups, manage them in the iOS Settings app or in Finder.

There is no account to close. Your wedding data is on no server. The only record held off your device is RevenueCat's anonymous customer record. To have it deleted, email the address below. If you bought Lifetime Premium, include the order ID from Apple's receipt email so we can find the matching purchase.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export and delete personal data that a company holds about you. Everything you enter is already in your hands, on your device, and the app gives you a one-tap way to destroy it. The only data held elsewhere is the anonymous RevenueCat record described above. We will delete it on request, or tell you what it contains if we can match it to you.

If you want to raise a privacy question anyway, email riznewhite@gmail.com.

Children

The app is rated 4+ and is not directed at children. It asks no one, children included, for personal information. The anonymous purchase and device data described above is handled the same way for every user, and the app does not knowingly gather information from a child under 13.

This website

The site you are reading is static HTML and CSS. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, loads no third-party scripts or fonts, and has no contact form. Email links open your own mail app. The hosting provider may keep standard server request logs, which is ordinary web infrastructure and is not used to build any profile of you.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app changes what it does with data, this page changes first and the effective date at the top moves with it. A change that introduced any form of data collection would also change the app's App Store privacy label, which is visible on the listing before you download.
