The licence
Downloading Wedding Planner Lite from the App Store licenses it to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, together with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions you already agreed to for your Apple Account. There is no separate custom agreement to accept.
The app has no accounts, no user-generated content shared between people and no subscriptions. Nothing you enter leaves your device. It has one optional one-time purchase that Apple sells and processes, recorded anonymously with RevenueCat as the Privacy Policy describes. There is nothing for a custom agreement to govern that Apple's standard licence does not already cover, so none has been written.
The notes below explain how that licence works out in practice for this particular app. They add nothing to it and contradict nothing in it. Where this page and Apple's licence differ, Apple's licence governs.
The price
- Wedding Planner Lite is free to download, and the free version stays complete: unlimited vendors, the full checklist, the full guest list, every reminder, and what you have paid, still owe and committed in total.
- From version 1.1 there is one optional in-app purchase, Lifetime Premium. It is a single one-time payment that adds the real all-in total, what is still to come, the month-by-month money timeline, and your target and the gap. The price is shown in the app and on the App Store, in your local currency, before you buy.
- If you had version 1.0, where those four views were free, you keep them without buying anything. The app recognises a version 1.0 download from your wedding data already on the iPhone when 1.1 first opens, and from the App Store's record of the version you first downloaded.
- Lifetime Premium is not a subscription and has no trial. Nothing renews, nothing expires and nothing is charged again. Apple takes the payment through your Apple Account; the app never sees your payment details.
- Restore Purchases, on the purchase screen and in Settings, brings Lifetime Premium back on another iPhone or after reinstalling, using the same Apple Account. It restores the purchase, not your data: your data lives only on the iPhone you entered it on.
Refunds
Apple processes every App Store purchase, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. The developer cannot issue them directly. If a refund is granted, the Premium views lock again and nothing you entered is touched. If something is broken, email riznewhite@gmail.com and a fix is the thing on offer.
Your data is yours, and only yours
Everything you enter stays in the app on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded, and nobody else holds a copy. Two consequences follow, and they are worth stating clearly:
- Backing up is on you. Keep your iPhone backed up if the data matters. There is no server-side copy to fall back on and no way to recover data from a lost, wiped or broken phone.
- Delete All Data and deleting the app are both permanent. Neither can be reversed from this end.
The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is stored and where.
Reminders
Payment reminders are local iOS notifications scheduled by your device. iOS decides when to deliver them, and a Focus mode, a Scheduled Summary, a disabled permission, a restored backup or a flat battery can all delay or drop one. Treat reminders as a helpful nudge and not as the only thing standing between you and a missed vendor payment. Your contracts with your vendors are between you and them.
What the app is not
Wedding Planner Lite stores numbers you type and adds them up. It gives no financial, tax, legal or contractual advice, holds no money, moves no money, and connects to no bank or card. Totals and remaining balances reflect what you entered, so check them against your own vendor contracts before acting on them.
Availability and changes
The app is offered as it is, with no promise of a particular update schedule and no guarantee that any specific feature will arrive. The app supports iPhone on iOS 18 or later. Support for other devices, iCloud sync and any other future capability are intentions rather than commitments.
